All foreigners working in
Thailand, whether as managers of their own
business or working for others, are required to
obtain a work permit prior to commencing work.
The requirement also exists for those serving as
“consultants” to other businesses.
The process of obtaining a work permit generally
takes three weeks, assuming all necessary
documentation is made available by the employer.
In addition to certain corporate documents from
the employer, we also require the following:
a) a letter from your previous employer
indicating your position and dates of service;
b) a job description for your new post;
c) a copy of your highest academic certificate
(e.g. university degree);
d) a copy of your updated CV;
e) a medical certificate stating you are not
suffering from certain contagious diseases.
